ok, first my set up (if you can even call it that)

2 4 foot florescent tubes both are philips natural sunshine 40 watt, 5000k on color temperature, and says its also known as full spectrum, sunshine, sunlight. each tube is pushing 2200 lumens.

i have 4 seedlings about 3-4 inches tall, and they are 3 or 4 weeks old!

now, because of some law difficulty, they spent a few days outdoors in the cold, or in a space with no light, but only 3 days and 2 were outside in sunlight.

i was used an ott light to sprout them but it didnt give off enough light for them after they got up to an inch or 2.

they are in organic soil, and i just mixed vermeculite in to help the roots breath and drain ect.

since thay are a few weeks old i started using very deliuted miracle gro on them today, also the new lights have only been on them for maybe 12 hrs, so i may be scared for nothing,

but as a noobie let me tell others not to make this mistake!

DO NOT BUY PHILIPS INCANDESCENT AGRO-LITES, they burned and dryed my plants, so they will prolly all come out male, but im just surprised i have even kept em alive this long,

they are seeds out of dank iv bought over the years, but im on a budget so i cant speed a million dollars on a ballast, hydro kit (unless someone has good cheap plans to make one) HPS lights ect cause im not trying to get a cannabis cup winner, i just wanna get stoned off something i grew ;bonghit

any usefull info is greatly appreciated,

thanks!

my 2 month olds are showing some yellow tips. hear are some specs. 5 gallon pots. soil is half schultz moisture control, quarter earth worm castings, and quarter vermiculite. the have been feed once with mg all purpose fert at half strength, they drink about every 4 or 5 days. both are supposidly northern lights. 2x250watt mh, sylvainia lamps under a 3'x4' reflector. sorry no pics i'm using a ps3, but i will be as descriptave as posible. they have no curling, drooping, and the tips are only yellow less than a quarter of an inch from the tips on older fan leaves, new leaves look great, acctually they look great in general, just noticed tips yesterday. i would like to fix the prob b4 it is a prob! lights are 14'' away, temp is to cool (68 69 during the day) 18/6 lights. one was topped 2 weeks ago and clone is doing well. the fist feeding was 4 days ago. ;coffee

Aloha, I am new to this forum. I have looked around for an answer finding no relief.

So I have a few questions for the professionals. First, the picture was taken yesterday and the 2 plants are at the end of their 2nd week of flowering. 12/12 light cycle, one 600w hps and one 4' t5. The temp. stays around 88f. Constant air flow.

Still the plants do not look as healthy as my outdoor. The leaves are not reaching for the light and they look thin. Could this be from a lack of space, too much light intensity, co2 deficiency, do they need light added under the canopy or something that I cannot see? This is what I am here for. Any help would be greatly appreciated. O and one more question, these are anonymous strains.... can anyone take a shot at identifying them?

Hey guys. Im new to the board. This is my first grow and first post. I've been flowering for 55 days. The tric's arent the color i want them to be just yet. About 2 weeks ago i started seeing yellow spots on some of the fan leaves. I cut those off. Now its spreading and getting closer to the buds and i dont want spotted buds! ANy advice would be great. I only grew 1 plant this go round. I wanted to experiment and learn all i could before i go to a full blown grow. Shes Hollands Hope ( an outdoor strain i know, but i did it inside). Any advice will be awesome. Im sure i didnt post enough info so any questions plz let me know. Shes in organic soil.

Leaves turning upwards and some spots, help!

Hi everyone, this is my first grow and after a few initial problems I thought everything was going well. However a few days ago the leaves started to curl and face upwards also their are some spots developing on the leaves.

I have attached some pictures for you to look at. In the first picture you can see how the leaves are curling and starting to face upwards. The next 2 pictures show the leaf damage. The spots marked "2" is old damaged caused by water droplets on the leaves and direct sunlight. This happened about a week ago when they were young. The spots marked "1" are what i'm worried about at the moment. They look brown in the picture but they look white under the lights, also the leaves seem to be yellowing and some of the tips look white under the light.

I know the stems are quite long this is because They were not put under the lamps straight away, they were just on the windowsill for the first week.

I have searched round the forums and I think the cause of the problem is heat stress but i'm not sure (could the spots be spider mites?). Any advice on this problem or my setup in general would be much appreciated.

About my setup:
The seeds germinated about 2 and a half weeks ago and were potted in small plastic cups. The plants were re-potted about a week ago into larger pots using a moist seed and cutting compost (Levington brand). Since re-potting they have been given roughly 10ml of water every couple of days or so. The plants are kept inside an upside down perspex fish tank with holes drilled in the top and an air gap around the bottom. I have used 2x 20w fluorescent energy saving bulbs to light them (picture below). The tank is covered with a reflector made of white paper (picture below). They were on a 24/0 light cycle which I changed yesterday to an 18/6. The room the plants are kept in is heated with an electric heater. The temperature and humidity inside the tank range from 26-30C (79-86F) and 49-65% humidity. I am not currently using any fans or means of air circulation other than removing the lid periodically.
