I saw a guy post a method on how to make a small amount of bubble hash from kief, without using the bags. basically he said to

1) put kief in freezer 1 hour
2) full a jar of cold water mostly to the top and add kief, put a top on it and shake for a few minutes
3) let it sit for 10 mins, open jar and scrape out what floats to top (said to be mostly plant matter)
4) shake again and scrape again (repeat steps 2 and 3 basically)
5) get a coffee filter and cover the jar with it. filter the water through the filter and into a pan.
6) take what is left in filter and let it dry out. smoke

I have not tried this process, I am looking for advice from anyone that may know something on the subject. i love the bub hash but have no access to large amounts of trimmings. i am hoping this will make me bub hash from the kief collection I have.
