Sweet Grow Room

Hey guys I just wanted to post some pics of my grow room I just got done with... This is the first "Grow Room" i have built. I have had a few feeble attempts in a cabinet. What do you guys think? Anything I should change or do differently? I am using 6 CFL bulbs with actual wattage at 158 producing 3150 lumens.... I currently have 2 computer fans hooked up with plans of adding 2 exhaust fans. Also i am using a 21/7/14 mix as a grow medium (it was all they had at home depot in the winter).

BlackJack seeds

I am thinking about getting some BlackJack seeds from Nirvana. Has anybody tried to grow or smoke this strain? I have only grown once and am looking for something fairly easy to grow but something I will be very satisfied with. I thought of going with Northern Lights but want a Hybrid. If you have not grown BlackJack what would you recommend for a beginner grower?

I love weed.

Idk what it is about it, have been smoken for 2 1/2 years now and im 18. And i've loved mary jane ever sense i set eyes upon her. I love just rollin up a blunt after work or school.. Or anytime that is..

HPS Grow also LED testing

Some pice of Blueberry and also some of LED Testing I am doing. The big room is the HPS, I just started to test a new LED. It was made for commercial use I asked the guy if he thought it would grow plants, he was not fer suregave me a good price to try 2 of them. They do great for seeding and cloning and veggie now I need to see if it can do what my HPS does. I have 2 locations that I am growing.

adjusting PH? Leaf burn??

I adjust the PH in the res and then the table floods. I think I am burning my leaves. Should I adjust and then wait a period of time before the table floods???
If so, how long should I wait?

T5 Adjustment???

I have a 2'x4' 8 lamp T5 light. It is over my 2'x4' grow tray. How far should it be above the plants??? I think I am underestimating the heat of T5's.

Holes in new leaves??

Plants have 6 nodes, on the top new growth, some of the new leaves have brown holes in them the size of rice with yellow trim around holes. At first I thought heat stress/burn, but I have a 2'x4' 8 bulb T5 light 12" above them. Burn? really? How far should the light be? Am I underestimating the heat of T5's?

So i am 6 weeks pregnant...and if you are going to be the person to tell me that smoking while you pregnant is bad. well dont even begin! i need solid proof a story (real one!!!) saying it gave a child a birth defect. Weed calms monring sickness balances a pregnant womens diet and keeps emotions from going completly crazy. now i am looking for all the evidence in the world to stop me from smoking but so far nothing not one! person has gave solid proof except for well what the govt wants us to think. so give me a story please help me i want to do the right thing but everything in my body tells me its ok...im not talkin getting mad zooted im just talkin the nice little easing high....

Hey guys, been away for a while.
So I've been on a smoking hiatus since about Feb or so... finally got my school stuff straightened out, I'm about to take my ACT (I'll let you know how that goes) and then start college this spring. So I decided to celebrate my progress by giving my guy a call. He said he had some bomb ass creeper, I picked up a dub last night.
I got home, unwrapped that little nugget, cupped it in my hand and took a whiff of that beautiful bud in all its glory, you know, that orgasmic smell... I knew I was back. After I finished my basking, I sat it in the floor...
Now since it's been so long since I've hung with Mary, I knew that my tolerance was basically reset so I decided to break out the bong, take it to the bathroom and "pack" it with the tiniest amount of weed you can imagine.. I mean look: OO << There he is. That little yapping ass poodle. He at my weed. Not a piece, not a part, all of it. Sonuvvvah bitch... I checked his breath, dank as hell. I love animals so I didn't beat him of course, or even discipline him (what's the point? What kind of message would I be sending him anyway? That it's not okay to eat?)
He's not my dog, I've just been taking care of him for a few weeks for my mom. I swear dude, this is the lamest dog ever. He doesn't play or anything, all he does is bark non-stop and force you to scratch his ears constantly or he'll bark louder. It sucked so bad dude, it was some of the best weed I've ever bought and I didn't even get to get high once...

Oh well, I'll call my guy in a few weeks (and NEVER mention this or I'll never hear the end of it) and pick up another bag. I tend to optimistic, so now I'm just keeping in mind that it will be that much sweeter when I finally do get stoned.

So the point of this post is to vent and if any of you have ever had your stash consumed by a pet. Anyone?

(BTW if any of you were worried, he's fine. As you probably know, weed is totally inert if eaten straight up; you have to cook into fat.)

Marijuana Law Reform Is A Political Opportunity ? Not A Political Liability

Last January I proclaimed in the The Hill’s Congress blog: “Marijuana law reform is no longer a political liability; it’s a political opportunity.” Ten months later it appears that an unprecedented number of state-elected officials are heeding the message. Here’s just a sample.

COLORADO: Last week the Commission on Criminal and Juvenile Justice recommended legislators to substantially reduce marijuana penalties so that the possession of up to four ounces of pot would classified as a petty offense. Offenses involving greater amounts of cannabis (up to 16 ounces) would be reduced to a misdemeanor. State Attorney General John Suthers told the Denver Post that he supports the Commission’s recommendations which, if enacted, would make Colorado’s pot possession laws among the most lenient in the nation.

RHODE ISLAND: A special nine-member Senate panel met for the first time this week to debate revising the state’s criminal marijuana policies. The panel’s chair, Democrat Sen. Joshua Miller, said that the task-force will primarily focus on the subject of decriminalization, but that members will also likely debate the merits of taxing a regulating the adult use of cannabis. The panel’s recommendations to the legislature are due on January 10, 2010. In 2009, Rhode Island’s legislature became only the second to approve legislation licensing the establishment of medical cannabis dispensaries.

WISCONSIN: Democrat Gov. Jim Doyle recently announced his support for legislation that seeks to make Wisconsin the fourteenth state to allow for the legal use of medical cannabis. Both the Assembly and the Senate Public Health Committees are scheduled to hear testimony in favor of the legislation, known as the Jacki Rickert Medical Marijuana Act, on Tuesday, December 15, 2009.

WASHINGTON: Incoming Seattle city attorney Peter Holmes announced this week that his office will no longer charge anyone with simple marijuana possession offenses. “We’re not going to bring any more (marijuana possession) charges,” he said. There are other more important, more pressing public safety matters in need of attention with the limited resources we have.” Holmes added that he supports legislation to be introduced in 2010 that seeks to depenalize marijuana. Similar proposals introduced in 2009 died in committee.

PENNSYLVANIA: Next month legislators will hold their first hearing — ever — on legalizing the use of medical cannabis. The House Committee on Health and Human Services will hear testimony on HB 1393, The Barry Busch Compassionate Use Medical Marijuana Act of 2009, on Wednesday, December 2, at 11am in Room 140 of the Main Capitol. ARKANSAS: Democrat Senator Randy Laverty announced this week that he is considering introducing legislation to lessen or eliminate criminal penalties for marijuana possession offenses. Legislators in several other states, including New Hampshire and Texas, are also expected to debate marijuana legalization proposals in 2010.

CALIFORNIA: In the coming months legislators are expected to hold additional hearings on Assembly Bill 390, the Marijuana Control, Regulation, and Education Act, which seeks to tax and regulate the commercial production and retail sale of cannabis to those age 21 or older. The California Assembly Committee on Public Safety is anticipated to vote on the measure by late January. The vote will mark the first time that California, or the legislature of any state, has voted on the issue of cannabis regulation in over three decades.
