Ok guys, i figured I'd share this although I bet it's on these forums already. I skimmed the first page and didn't see it and it's always nice to have good info on the front page!
I'll provide person experience and semi-instructive instructions.
Ok, so the item is called Certa which you can pick up @ your local grocery market for $2 and change. Certa is a preservative which is commonly used in canning fruits and the such. In the Certa box (normally a light yellow and white box) comes two packages with the preservative inside. The preservative is a gelatine like substance.

Basic Instructions: Take the two packs & 1 gallon of water and down it an hour or so prior to your test. Whether you are still drinking the gallon on your way to the test matters little as long as you down 3/4+ of it. The more the better.
You want to break seal twice (piss twice) before you are ready to take your test. This will not be difficult as when you are drinking this much water after downing the two packages of preservatives, you have to piss a lot =P It's important to make sure you break seal at least twice to ensure that all urine is out of your system. After breaking the seal twice, you are pretty much purely pissing actual water, the water in which you are drinking.
Tip: Due note that the preservative tastes horrible and has on occasion made me throw up but it's important to fight through that reflex and keep as much of it down as possible. That can be difficult so I may suggest downing a can of sprite with the preservative. Sprite or Mountain Dew, not Dr. Pepper or Coke. This will offset the taste.
Experiences: I've taken piss tests while high and passed several times. I've heard this work for other substances but I smoke the green every day and thats it so i can not vouch for other narcotics.
One time I had an accident @ work, while 100% sober, and was sent directly from work to a testing clinic with manager supervision. I smoke every friggin day so I knew this was not a good thing and so did my direct managers cause they all knew I smoked. However, it's policy so I had to do it. The manager that went with me did not know I smoked so I had to be quick and quiet about taking action.
I called up a friend to go the store and buy me some certa and to meet me at the clinic with it. As I was preparing to leave the dealership (where I worked), I was drinking as much water as I could. When I arrived @ the clinic and my manager was signing us in, my friend came up from behind and she handed off the packets of Certa behind me and my managers back. I took the packets into the bathroom as we waited to be called and downed as much as I could. I threw some it back up cause the taste is god aweful and continued to drink water as we waited. I simply was calm about my drinking but drank as much as I could.
I was called up maybe 25 minutes after arriving @ the clinic, took my test, and passed. So you can say this stuff can work on the fly but I'm not going to guarantee it, it just happened to work for me. I had smoked every day up until that day, including that morning, and passed with flying colors.
Don't take my word for it but this is my personal experience and it may help you out if you find yourself in need of passing a test w/out wanting to spend a bill on other methods.
