New Today from the Dopefiend.co.uk Podcast Network:
On the Web's Favourite Cannabis Podcast this week, the Dopefiend talks about the looming global recession and how the mighty panacaea Cannabis could be used to cure the planet's financial ills, especially following this week's announcement by the UN's drugs watchdog that only "drug money" could now protect some major banks, and how the ever-buoyant spending of stoners never buckles to the whims of the money markets. Hitting the emails, we hear from long-time listener MattyTHC, who gives praise for the recent Christmas Day dopecast, and tells why this Christmas was his best ever, including some talk of how easy it is to make friends in Amsterdam, especially at Dopestock! Matty also talks about the friendliness of the DopeTribe, leading to a brief chat about why our forum is so much more welcoming than many others. Next we hear from Liz, who treated her man Orangemonkey to a brand new I-Inhale portable vaporizer recently and tells how overjoyed they are having jumped fully on board the Vaporizer Revolution, prompting the Dopefiend to head into the VaporLounge to greet G13, who's packed his I-Inhale with some tasty Northern Lights and partakes in a few tokes and a chat about Dopestock and portable vaping before a musical interlude from the Cheebacabra. Back from the VaporLounge, the Dopefiend returns to the emails, starting with a question from Scott about the munchies and whether the particular strain of Cannabis you smoke awakens different munchie-based desires, leading to some talk about the therapeutic applications of the increased appetite caused by Cannabis use, the Dopefiend's favourite munchies, and how to deal with the munchies if you're watching your weight! Next we hear from 16-year-old Evan who asks whether he should follow his parents' advice and cut the Cannabis out of his young life, prompting some advice from the Dopefiend about the risks of Cannabis use when young, and his own chronology of Cannabis use. Next GrizzlyBear drops an email in singing the praises of the I-Inhale's stealthiness, describes how it compares to the Volcano, and lists the number of public places where he's sampled its goodness, finishing off with a concern about the fact that it uses butane. In this week's Cannabis News, there's another story of banks calling police because cash deposits smelled of ganja, the worrying precedent set by the US Supreme Court this week, which means that police now have the right to stop drivers regardless of any grounds but their own suspicion, the UK's leading expert on drug use shatters the myths about the health risks associated with Cannabis use, and a nurse who's daughter was killed by what the press called a "cannabis-crazed" lover backs Nutt's view, the booklet distributed by British schools which teach kids the best ways to use our secret sacrament, and even mention "less risky" vaporizers! Also in the Cannabis News, the new threat to growers posed by Google Earth, and the Medical Marijuana dispensaries stateside hold Barack Obama to his promise to end the raids!
