I haven't had time to read paper media in many moons. . . Last book I got into was "The elegant universe", you've actually made me want to pick that up again. Thanks!

I just looked those books up and they look very worthwhile, I'll write them down. I've got so many too read right now it's pathetic, damn school is wearing me out too the point I have no brain power when I get home. Nothing like a snifter of brandy, a joint, a novel and a beautiful school free day up in the mountains.
I myself am actually thinking about writing a book, hard shit to do...

I recently finished Escapement by Jay Lake. Both it and its predecessor Mainspring are great reads if you enjoy steampunk and variants thereof.
Currently reading a novel called Omega Sol by Scott Mackay, but so far it isn't anything special.
I also recently finished Frank Herbert's Destination: Void. It is out of print, but an excellent piece of literature--well worth it if you can get your hands on a copy.
Oh, and one more recommendation before I shut up: Ray Bradbury's most recent release, Now and Forever (composed of two short stories/novellas: Somewhere a Band is Playing and Leviathan '99) is quite delicious.
