V for Vendetta is another good one, a lot darker than the series. For instance, instead of being a lower level employee as a tv station, Evey is like, a twelve year old prostitute. Its a good read.
And yea Cannaya, I actually just had to read understanding comics for one of my classes last week. Its an interesting book. |

but been gettin into alot other stuff recently....
was reading "Y - The Last Man", which is about an "incident"
that wipes out all of the guys on earth at once, except this one
guy and his pet monkey....
very cool read and no... it's not quite as cool as it might seem
to be the last man alive on a planet now populated by women,
trust me on that.

I've been digging on the Absolute edition lately. I should be getting the second volume next month, which I'm really looking forward to. It's a real treat reading it with such huge pages, and with the re-done colours and everything. Quote:

The most recent one I read is where they first get to Japan. But it's just a fantastic story. I've got a soft spot for post-apocalyptic stories. |

Because...if so...I am extremely jealous...
I almost bought one of those once, but I'm usually really strapped for cash, had gift cards almost up to almost the total amount for one, but I had a long car trip coming and just had to stock up on books otherwise it'd be a long 2200 miles in that car... |

I really like how my local library is stocking a lot of graphic novels and manga. |

Right now, I 'm reading Ex Machina, by Brian K. Vaughn, Tony Harris and others.
It's about a New York engineer, Mitchell Hundred, who after an accident finds he can talk to machines and often make them do what he wants them to do.
He spends a brief period of time as a costumed super-hero, The Great Machine, who forced the second plane aimed at The World Trade Center to land, thus averting the attack on and preserving the second tower.
Eventually, he quits the super-hero costume, gets outed in the press, and decides to run for mayor of New York City. He wins.
Good story, excellent characterization and pretty to look at. Also, lots of politics...I would say Hundred is a practical centrist.
Highly recommended!

allthough he does get laid a couple times over the space of like 5 years... but on a world where the women out number the guy 3 billion to 1, he's not gettin as much as u would expect him to lol
