i must say i've been obsessed with comics since my mom took me to our library.i never rented or read a "real" book.

when my school grades dropped,there was a comic book ban at home...i smuggled them in anyways.

then i got money and went on comic book shopping sprees.

some of my favourites are:


-the spirit (and everything by will eisner).

-batman

-spiderman

-watchmen

-spirou and gaston by franquin

-tintin, of course, by herge

-karl barks's work (donald duck,scrooge mc duck ...)

-manaras erotic comics

-asterix


i could go on...these are just a few of my favourites.

unfortunately they all burned in the fire at my home.

i kinda lost interest.because like in music and movies...nothing original turn up.

all they read are mangas now.

like in playing video games...the fun of a novelty is gone.



comic books anyone?

i forgot MAD magazine.i had the first ever 6 issues in an expensive book.

also clever & smart by ibanez.

and, umm, oh yeah:robert crumb and the dudes that made freak brothers,sheridan and somebody.

...can't forget hal foster for his tarzan and ivanhoe(sp?) comics.

I loved the watchmen, I thought it followed the book very well. Right now im big on the marvel universe. I loved civil war and am about ready to read the secret invasion, I would like to read a bit more about capt america first though.

If anyone would like a recommendation on what to read, hit me up! I love the civil war and all the books that tie everything together with the secret invasion!

I'm a huge fan of the Sandman series. Fables is another one i really enjoy.

The V for Vendetta comics were also amazing, way darker than the movie.

Love the french/belgium artists such as Franquin and Uderzo strips, as well as Herge. Very under appreciated in the U.K and ignored by most comic shops.

Back in the day I was a fan of Image comics. Spawn of course, Pitt, etc. . . Plenty of ass whoopin' in those. If you haven't read Transmetropolitan and you like graphic novels, or comics at all for that matter, you should check it out. It's more political than most, extremely funny though.

....lol just to name a few. My fav. is Simon Dark, hes a dead 19 year old boy superhero in Gotham City...yes Gotham City Batman isn't the only Superhero that lives their and thats all imma tell ya . Im sure where ever you guys get your comics has it or can get it.
and ive got the First Edition Anual Night Of The Living Dead with C.O.A.....still gotta get the other 5 covers, and issues 1 - 6 (they come as a set)
Ive also got all of the Plague Of The Living Dead books.

Workin' on a stoner comic/graphic novel with my friend. He's writing it and I'm doing the art. Hopefully it's actually gonna happen and not be one of those great ideas you get when you're high and then forget about.

Yes.. I'm in love with The Darkness. If you enjoyed the game then the comics are just as gory and have a great story. I have the complete 1st volume so far
