P.S
You guys have some of the coolest tattoos I've seen, rock on |

The color of the tattoo goes back to when we were sitting around a campfire late at night while back country camping in the Smoky Mountains. We were stoned as hell and looking at the beautiful night around us and the fire, and we started talking about the tattoo she was going to get. She told me the basic design, and I suggested that she make the flower look kind of like the embers of the fire we were tripping at .
See, sometimes stoner's do have good ideas . |

Stoner Buck$$: 151.98 | Re: Wildest Tattoo I have 2 small tats, 1 tiny that I love because it has real personal meaning, & another a few inches long that is just DUMB. lol
I'm in the research process of planning a HUGE piece... I want it to go all the way across my lower back, with parts that trail/curve around my hips, then all the way up the right side of my back/ribs. I have scoliosis, so my goal is to create an optical illusion so my shape looks more even. I want it to be Japanese-style, lots of flowers with some Japanese graphic line elements, & hopefully some small bits of symbolism tucked here & there.
I got a bunch of books on Japanese art & design & have been studying, marking pages, making notes. But I'm having a hell of a time finding an artist. Price isn't really an option, it's just that with such a huge, meaningful, PERMANENT change to my body, I want to find the best person possible to translate my vision into reality.
I feel like I'm looking for a needle in a haystack, since there are so many tat sites out there, & my search is sorta beginning to overwhelm. If anyone has any suggestions or recommendations, please feel free to let me know! |

I used to go thru tattoo magazines all the time, I do recall some pieces from North Carolina artists but I do not recall their shop names or the artist names :-( I have 4 tattoos and the last one was in 2001 so its been 6 years since I really did anything tattoo related. Or if you're not that far, try Miami Ink sometime if you got the money and time and means for transportation.

Stoner Buck$$: 151.98 | Re: Wildest Tattoo I'll look for a Screaming Ink, thanks for the suggestion. Funny you should mention Miami Ink, I looked over the portfolios & would LOVE to have Chris Garver do mine! I know it's a long shot, but I'm going to submit a casting DVD for the hell of it.
And hey, I have an ILY tat, too!! It's the tiny one I have with actual meaning. My sister is deaf (& 1 of her 2 sons). She once signed a letter to me with a cute line drawing of an ILY... just 6 simple lines. I have her exact drawing transferred onto my shoulder blade.
I was in line at PetSmart once, wearing a tank top, & a deaf couple behind me saw the ILY on my shoulder & stopped me. They were beaming, & it was a cool connection. I'm embarassed to say my sign isn't nearly as good as it should be (my sis & I are steps & so didn't live together growing up), but one of my goals is to get better. I can fingerspell like crazy, though, lol!
Oh, & forgive me for not saying sooner... BFA, your ILY rocks! |
