Well, I'm debating on getting a tattoo, nothing big, just maybe some kinda simple tribal? I'm not 100% sure of what to get or where to get it.
Anyone have any recommendations for a newbie?

ok personally and this may just be me but unless youre of a tribal descent then tribal tats are incredibly over done and lame as is barbed wire around your bicep i mean who are you C.C.Deville or tommy lee?
a tattoo is supposed to have a meaning behind it if it has no meaning its just a drawing that is permanently part of you, the the tattoos that are meaningless are the ones people regret. and yeah tattoos hurt but they hurt more to get removed so make sure they have an important meaning or that you can at the very least live with the design. that said they are great and a great way to express yourself and commemorate important things like they college you graduate from or w/e. but spouses change even if you get married sometimes so you know be smart.

Mohawk got it.
Make sure it's an awesome design that you are totally comfortable with having on you for life and that it has a lot of meaning and thought put into it.
My brother has so many that he got as a teen and he HATES them...so be careful.

Dude.. I was planning on saying the exact same thing.
Man, a group of strangers can't tell you what tattoo would be best suited for you.
Every tattoo you should get should have meaning behind it. My dad is 40 with one tattoo. It's a wild cat. The Wild Cat was his college mascot (I forgot which college but it's in Florida). And football was an important part of his life.
Me, I want to get Kurt Cobain somewhere on me, probably the back.
I won't go into exactly why because it's too much, but his words basically made me who I am today. Kurt Cobain will always be my biggest.... idol doesn't seem like the right word.
But you get it. | |

my brother and I are really close, and we were both thinking of heading down to get the word Brother written on our shoulders in Korean. (Since we're both half korean).
