Amazing....I heard Costa Rica was beautiful but that just proves it. How far are you from the Butterfly Preserve? CR does have the largest butterfly preserve right? I hope I'm right lol.
Thats a beautiful place and I'd love to go there someday.

I'm not sure there's a preserve specifically for butterflyes, but there are lots of places to see them, such as Monteverde, or Talamanca(which is the mountains just a couple of kms away from the beaches in the pictures).
And the spider was really cool, it was brown with six white spots through it's back and the brown faded into bright greed at the edges of the body, and the legs where green. Too bad the flash messed it up. I personally love spiders, except for the big black hairy ones. They make me nervous.

Nice pics spaced. I was in costa rica in 1989 scuba diving, it was an awesome place. i loved the diving there, those pics brought back great memories, thanks
