A day is as big or small,
As one decides to make it...
And for some,their days,
Have all turned to night.
They no longer seek the sun,
And the warmth,
They hide,and decay,
In the stillness,
They excuse for peace.
No one day can make a life a victory,
Nor can any one day,
Erase our image,
That we have placed upon the earth.
At every juncture,
There lies four decisions,
One, to go back from whence you came,
Two,to hang a left,
That leads to the desert,
Three,to bear right,
Where the ocean waits to great you,
With every ebb and flow, calling your name,
And the fourth,to forge straight ahead,
Where the mountains,
Stand tall with grandure,
Beconing your arrival to grace you.
And no one's to say,
That one direction,
Is better than another.
For all have both good, and bad...
As you can bring life to a desert,
If you don't starve,
Or die of thirst
You can frolic,
In the joys of the ocean,
But if you stop swimming,
You will surely drowned.
And the mountains,
Majestic and immense,
Have both jagged cliffs,
And beasts that can tear,
And eat your flesh.
So keep in mind,
That at the end of every journey,
Lies a battle,
Waiting to be fought,
To be won or lost.
But there are battles,
That we fight for another,
And others,
The battle is to win back ourself.
Lest you lose yourself,
In your journey,
That once started with vision,
And hope.
Every day bestows a juncture,
With four directions to go...
too often people dread the journey and focus on the difficulty involved. they fail to notice that the journey of every day is a challenge to individual resources. every success is confirmation of our abilities and any failures are our learning experience.
choices......always choices, that's why we have a brain
It's often been said,
That our world,
And the people in it,
Are in a perpetual spiritual
And humanitarian,
Downward spiral.
I would however,
Like to live one day,
In a negative world.
Now I'm not talking
About spiritually negative,
But negative like one finds,
On a roll of film.
Then for once,
The souls,
That have had to live,
In the shadows of greatness
And dominance,
Could finally shine.
They're presence,
And identity,
For once,
Would be known.
And although this negative world,
Would lack the multi-dimentional qualities,
That color and texture provide,
Their bleak two-dimentional illumination,
Could not be denied or overlooked.
Now their inner brightness,
That has been forever lost,
In the complexities and splendor,
O f other people's worlds,
Could for once shine above all others,
Never again to be denied,
Or denounced as non-existent.
And then,
As the negative,
Is once again developed,
The eye will look in the shadows.
No longer having to imagine what's there,
But realizing what is.
They would now be aware,
That what they couldn't see,
All these years they've spent,
Concentrating and admiring the creations
That so boldly stand in the foreground,
That they hold so dear,
Would be but a two-dimentional cut-out,
If it weren't,
For those that were willing to stand,
In the shadows.
Not begging to be seen,
But patiently,
Holding their place,
And faithfully carrying forth,
Their duty,
To assist in making,
This world whole.
Giving those that are in the light,
Contrast and dimention,
That they would never have,
If they stood alone.
