The reason I asked ...
in the UK, Cannabis usage is illegal and in mental health fields it is portrayed as inducing depressive states. While in California, Cannabis is prescribed legally as a medication for depression sufferers.
WTF
What a world!?

WTF
What a world!? | There's also like 12 other states where it's legal for medical use, but the DEA still make arrests.

Stoner Buck$$: 1,694.78 | Re: Depression but in most legal states you Cant get medical permission for use in treating depression. California is a massive exception for quite a few rules compared to other states, but should we look at that as an example? is it because cali is far ahead or have other states taken a more realistic approach? and what is realistic with an almost harmless substance like pot?
//you can apply and if a doc goves you permission for depression treatment with pot, its usually up to the governing body of the state. such as in colorado the registry in the state can deny someone for anything that is not listed as accepted use, but you can still apply and it doesnt hurt anything, excpet your wallet, in the long run.
///in fact originally, in the first year of the colorado med law, licenses for asthma were issued to a few people. those were not subsequently renewed and people suffereing from asthma were no longer allowed in the program. since this has happened, multiple studies, a few very recently, have told of the magic pot serves asthma patients when ingested. the great anti-flammatory and countless other understudied benefits of the drug have been shown to not only help people breathe better, but has helped them curb asthma altogether with marijuana management.
good times.
////yes, marijuana use, among many other things for me that it benefits, the down in the dirts is one. |

Stoner Buck$$: 213.27 | Re: Depression My main gripe is that here in Northern Ireland, it is illegal to sit in your own home and smoke a herb.
But it's perfectly legitimate to go 'down the town' consume enough alcohol to drown a brewery and then beat the head off some poor fukker, abuse fast-food staff and taxi drivers, barf all down yourself then urinate (hopefully) in a shop doorway, and stagger somewhere in the direction of 'home' wrecking bins and signs.. any random stuff along your path!
There is a big drink culture here, the weather is shite, so most socialize in bars and clubs... every hole in the hedge town has at least 2 churches and about 5 pubs. Clubs here are pish in comparrison to the mainland. So basically young people entertain themselves by drink binging and street-fighting.
God sorry .. this is HUGE!
But fuk it I'm wiped
Yep, so last summer I was beaten up by 4 women. It was random, and I dunno .. I guess I did n't see it coming. I was attacked in a side street, by the door of the club. The fucking town Court House is nextdoor! My nose was broken, lip burst open - my face looked like a pumpkin
They got me on the ground and kicked the shit outta me, stabbed me in the legs with their stilletto heels.
Apparently the 'reason' ... they were drunk and jealous.
WTF ... that night I had a few spliffs before leaving the house, and I was perfectly coherent, in the club I limited my drinking because ..
A I was skint
B I take prescribed medicine which discourages the use of alcohol....
I was n't drunk, I recall the event with clarity.
Over and over again, I don't sleep ... which is why I'll be a fucking stalker here. LMAO
Guess what I'm trying to say is that because of their lack of constraint, someone else had to suffer. I've seen so many people totally guttered; out of their minds drunk and it's an accepted evil within society here. Constantly ill behaviour is excused by alcohol, and I'm fukking sick of it. Why should I feel like a criminal?
I'm a fucking hippy
I don't smoke myself retarded and then run around town looking for a fight! FUK NO! I sit back on my ass and think up some crazy shit and then forget it all...
Sorry for rambling, for anyone that actually got this far
ThanX for the couch guys ... cheque for this therapy session is in the post!

Stoner Buck$$: 1,319.12 | Re: Depression It is terrible that something that senseless happened to you. Don't feel too alone though. Here where I live, we have some of the highest per capita consumption of commercially brewed beer. Even in a place where the herb is tolerated, almost a non issue, the Alcohol still flows fast and strong. The last apartment I lived in was across from the infamous "Chilkoot Charlies" it's a renowned bar here. I was up with some heartburn and herad "crack, crack, crack, crack, crack", instinctively I did the stupidest thing possible, I went outside. Nothing bad happened at that point but my neighbor was out as well and said he had heard the noise, being groggy I though nothing of it and headed inside. The next day on going outside, the front of my complex was shot 5-6 times, several into peoples apartments, with children and all. No one was harmed but all of that happened because of a disagreement at the bar across the way and spilled into our apartment complex. I've had to physically stop people I don't even know from assulting others because of Alcohol. I've even done some things I sincerely regret while under the influence of Alcohol. Here, in the Winter time, it's dark most of the day and cold. Folks warm up with the booze. It's bad stuff, I love it though and like all things, in moderation. I don't actually know where I was going with this, so sorry. I just wanted to empathize.

Stoner Buck$$: 213.27 | Re: Depression ThanX for the words brO!
Yeah, moderation is my view on alcohol.
I think pretty much everyone likes to get pissed... I do...
it's just for some people there is a barrier point that they should n't drink beyond, else brewed up angers come to light.
I think the Native American Indians got it in one ... "firewater".

Stoner Buck$$: 165.69 | Re: Depression Ever see 2 (or more) stoners fight?? Me either unless it was over the last cookie or sumptin...I HAVE seen many fights whose participants were drinking...and alcohol is legal, I don't get it.
Personally, I think it SHOULD be legal...this would give the gubbermint another source to tax, anyone living in the States knows we need the money to bail out another large corporation. |
