yeh i'd like to hear of peoples thoughts on this too as i am thinking fo doing aero but live in a seriously hard water area

If you have hard water...you need an RO filter. Make sure to add calmag+ to your list of things to buy in order to replenish the essential minerals the RO process will remove. $80 bucks on ebay, and mine is still going strong after 2 years

i live in the desert and probably have the worst tap water around. it tests off my scale at 9.5++ but to fix it i use a Britta Water Pitcher Filter System. it brings it down to a low 6 and each filter is good for a couple months, or about 40 gals/filter before needing a new one...

I just got a 6 stage RO system and so far I like it.

It makes my water taste so good, I will be drinking it a lot more

It has even made the coffee a lot better


as for how it works on plants...... Im not sure yet as I just started using it on them, but Im sure its better than the damn tap water


I got mine for right around 150.00 (USD) shipped from E-Bay. I could have got a cheaper one, but I like the DI water as well. DI water is one step above RO water from what I was told
