What got me started on the idea of a budsickle grow? Well way back when I was a newbie grower (last summer) I saw a pic that looked very much like this. 
Now this was a wild looking pic to me but the description of the grow sounded unbeleivable. You see the budsickles were grown to completion in a 24 ounce cup. Thats right 24 ounce cup. Now at that time i was also of the train of thought that you could not get good buds unless you had the plant in a big container. Well I filed this in the back of my mind for later perusal.
I spent the next few months at the klozit learning how to be a self sufficiant indoor gardener. But that budsickle pic kept nagging at me.
So i went looking for it again. You wanna try something?
Search the grow forums, hell search the internet, see what you find on a budsickle grow. Well you guessed it, could not find the report again anywhere. But damn I wanted to see that pic. Well the germ of an idea started to grow............

Well my mind was thinking wouldn't a boatload of these buds look good growing all packed in together? So this is the game plan i came up with............
A true budsickle grow being where you take up to 16 plants per square foot and grow them to completetion in very, VERY small individual containers. In this case 24 ounce cups and 1 liter bottles. Now the area that i had for this grow was about 6.5 sq ft.
Now the next headache was how to come up with this many identical plants. You want them identicle and clones. Seeds wont work. You see another trick of the budsickle grow is the height. You want the plant when its harvested to be under 20" tall.
So what i did is take 11 clones from the orginal big bud mother plant. Rooted them and vegged and topped and vegged and topped some more.

From these clone mothers I was able to take over 100 clones. Now through my own problems at the time I only ended up saving 74 of the big bud clones. (Took 144 clones, 120 big bud, 9 skunk widow and the rest pink ladies) This is what they looked like........
Now that we have our budsickles here is pretty much a week by week pictorial............
In veg they only stayed long enough to get some roots going. As you can see in this pic they are very small when first introduced to 12/12........

AT ABOUT DAY 10 THE STRETCHING SLOWED BIG TIME.
AT ABOUT WEEK 2.5 WE HAVE BUDS STARTING TO COME IN NICELY.
